Resolution: Books…

Going with my resolution #2 – I must read at least 6 of the following books this year.  Some of which have been sitting on my shelf for over 3 years.

  • The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
  • Wicked by Gregory Maguire
  • Marley and Me by John Grogan
  • Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
  • The Gilded Chamber by Rebecca Kohn
  • The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
  • Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
  • The Big Over Easy by Jasper Fforde
  • Artemis Fowl #1 by Eoin Colfer
  • Something Rotten by Jasper Fforde
  • The Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan
  • Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn
  • The Crimson Petal and the White by Michel Faber
  • My Antonia by Willa Cather
  • Watership Down by Richard Adams
  • ‘A’ is for Alibi by Sue Grafton
  • Dixieland Sushi by Cara Lockwood

Now, the following books require a good (new) home – contact if you would one:

  • The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
  • Full House by Janet Evanovich
  • Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul by various
  • Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
  • The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
  • The Nameske by Jhumpa Lahiri
  • Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs

And the following books are some favorites that can be borrowed as long as they are returned (because I daresay I cannot be without them for long):

  • A Prayer for Owen Meaney by John Irving
  • Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
  • Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

And more will be added to this list, but that was all I could carry to the computer room.

Cheers and happy reading to all!

One Response to Resolution: Books…

I Love Wicked! You’ll like that one. Also read Joy Luck and Watership Down, a long time ago but loved them too. Marley and Me is on my next-to-read list and Water For Elephants was the last book I read, so good. Good luck with your resolution!
