James and I left with Booker and Bella this morning at about 9AM. Our first stop was to get gas, breakfast pizza, and fountain diet pepsi at The Depot in Tiffin (first two pics). Then we got on 80W to 21S to 95W into Oskaloosa, where we met the former owner of the Honda Magna. James’s friend Bob met us there (he’s in the light jacket and dark pants), so James would have a riding buddy on his way home. It worked out pretty awesome. James was doing 55mph in no time and they stopped and ate lunch and made it back here a little after 2PM. The mutts and I got back a little before 1PM because we took the shorter route back. The only detour we had was a potty and water break before getting back on to 80E.
While waiting for James I finished the back door to our house by pulling a bunch of tape off and using goo-gone on it. That stuff is the best stuff ever made, swear! I painted the window trim to match our shutters (chocolate brown) that we put up last August when we re-sided the whole house. After that I used some 600 wet sandpaper to clean the old glue off our sink in the guest bathroom. We’ve only had that sink top in there for 3 years, what’s the rush, right? 10 minutes later – it looks brand new! Should have probably done it 3 years ago, but whatever.
Next up will be the trim in the master bathroom, followed by garden tub backsplash, followed by countertop trim, followed by base board, followed by moving into the kitchen (if we have time). Sharon, our next door neighbor and owner of KISS Listings, is coming over tomorrow to appraise our house and get it on the market. We’ll see what happens!
And if you are wondering why I don’t have any pictures of all the stuff I’ve done…it’s because the battery was dying and I ‘had’ to take pictures of the Magna per James’s request.

James looks like he is having fun and loves the Honda Magda. Speaking of nostalgic….on the way to Keystone yesterday for a family reunion – Robert said he was feeling nostalgic for a bike. I told him he had a bicycle-that’s not the type of bike he was referring to. I told him no way. I think he wants to be 20 again.
