Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!!
James and I spent Thanksgiving Eve with the Verber’s (Deb and Jason and Jason’s brother and mother) - we played Beatles Rock Band, Band Hero (for 2 seconds) and Rock Band (1 or 2, not sure) on the Wii. We had a really good time. James really liked trying out the drums, but said it was pretty crazy. I sang in semi-public, which never happens. I pretty much only randomly sing in front of Deb or alone.
I got to purchase The Fall by Norah Jones and it is spectacular!!! I highly recommend it. It’s about equal to her first album, maybe better. We’ll see. I was not too impressed with her second or third album, but absolutely loved the EP she did with The Peter Malick Group. I also got to purchase Tori’s latest cd Abnormally Attracted to Sin. I will be listening to that this weekend…and totally looking forward to it.
We are slowly getting settled in. This morning I made a run to the storage unit and picked up all my books and most of our DVDs. I say “most” because I thought I had them all, but when I was putting them away I realized I must have missed a box. No biggie. I also put all my books away and took the boxes to the garage, so our place looks neat and tidy for our company who should arrive around 12. I also brought home my placemats and a few sewing things…unfortunately I forgot the ironing board, which I need in order to finish the placemats. My hope is to finish the quilting before next Friday, so I can take them to the crop in Eldridge and sew the binding all weekend long.
Well, I’m off to get ready for company!!
PS: New pics of the place on Flickr!!!
